When did you start at ASL Print FX?
I started at ASL in June 2021.
What do you do at ASL?
I’m a Press Room Helper. I handle a lot of setup and tear-down work in the press room. I organize the stocks for upcoming orders and assist in setting up any plates we may need for those orders. On top of those duties, I’m also assisting with the filing and organizing of the catalog of order files we’ve saved.
Tell us a bit about yourself. What do you like to do?
Outside of work, I do photography and marketing design work for musicians.
Do you have any favourite labels that have come through ASL?
I have looked at quite a few labels throughout my time organizing the past orders, so that might be a tough one…I really enjoy the simple designs. The ones that really play with the colors and textures of the paper we use. One favourite has to be the “reflectionist” label we did for Amlés Wines. The colors and use of embossing really make the label POP!
What is your favorite part of your job?
I think that the constant exposure to a wide variety of art and design pieces really inspires me outside of work. The things that I am learning about color and printing, in general, are also really exciting topics because they apply to my personal photography and design work.
